This project entails the scheduled replacement of various computers and servers essential for the operations of the Police Department. Specifically, the project aims to replace thirteen semi-rugged patrol computers, five administration/office laptops, one Patrol Room computer, one Watchguard camera system computer, one Watchguard Server, and one Police Pak Server. While patrol and administration computers were previously replaced using COVID funds in 2020-2021, the replacement schedule needs to be reinitiated to keep pace with advancements in technology and address any hardware issues that may have arisen since the last replacement. The estimated cost for semi-rugged patrol computers is approximately $3,500 each, while other computers are estimated at $3,000 each. However, the costs for servers are currently unknown and will need to be determined as part of the project planning process. This project underscores the town's commitment to ensuring that its law enforcement personnel have access to reliable and up-to-date technology to support their crucial duties effectively.
